SCUBA diving out at fish-eye, Guam. Finally got around to get certified…its too cheap here to not do it. Can’t wait for our second session this Saturday.
This is a picture of the SUV that struck and killed my friend Zachary Manago on December 17, 2010 and the other picture is the last picture I took of Zach before we departed on our island ride that night. I’ve withheld this photo until the trial was over and now it finally is. Two days after the accident five of us decided to go looking for the vehicle that may have hit Zach. We didn’t know what to expect but we were hopeful enough to try and search for something. After about an hour or so of searching we stumbled upon this vehicle and we immediately knew this was the one. This was the one that almost got away.
We called the detectives immediately to come down to look at the SUV and not even 45 minutes after we found the vehicle a tow-truck arrives. We thought the detectives called in the tow-truck to take the SUV back to the station but it wasn’t. He was called in by Douglas to take the car to a body shop because apparently he told the tow company that he hit a “pig” on his way home. When I found that out I got the meanest chill down my spine. Imagine if we came any later, that vehicle would have been gone, getting fixed up at a body shop to make as if nothing ever happened.
I don’t know how we found the vehicle or why we did, but there is a reason for everything. Maybe Zach was watching over us or we struck some very good luck I don’t know, but I’m just glad we found the vehicle and I’m glad there is closure for everyone now. We all miss you Zach and we think about you everyday. Your good vibes continue to live on through all of us ZMM<3 Ride in Paradise buddy.
Please be more aware when driving everyone we don’t need any more accidents like this.

GPOYW: Still trying to get my internet situation worked out, but here’s a little bit of what I’ve been doing in Guam besides my rotation at the pharmacy.
My view for the next 6 weeks!
View aside, I know everyone says that Guam is REALLY hot and humid, but I don’t think I really grasped the magnitude of it until I stepped off the plane here at 3 in the morning: 82 degrees with 94% humidity. At least I’ll be in nice AC throughout most of the day.
GPOYW: Last finals week EVAAAR edition!!! Its a bit surreal…I can’t wait to start 4th year rotations on Guam next week.
I had to reblog this even before I made it halfway through.
omG GOD BLESS

GPOYW: Ignore my non-existant eyes edition.
Liliuokalani Gardens in Hilo. After living here for 3 years, I finally took the time visit this park. Cross another one off my Hilo bucket list.
GPOY: Merrie Monarch Festival 2012
Hula has always been like watching sports for me; I don’t really care for watching it on TV, but seeing it live is a completely different story. So much of the intensity gets lost over the airwaves. I’ll definitely need to come back for the 50th anniversary next year.
